Terms, Billing & Refund Policy

Plain-language terms for The Content Engine. If anything here is unclear, email us before you buy and we'll answer in writing.

Who we are

The Content Engine is a short-form video editing service operated by Angel Fabian, a sole proprietor based in York, Pennsylvania, United States.

What we sell

We edit video footage that you supply into finished short-form videos formatted for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Editing includes cutting, captioning, color correction, and applying your branding.

We are an editing service. We do not film footage, we do not run your social accounts, and we do not post on your behalf.

Plans and billing

Starter — $600 per month: 8 finished videos per month. 3–5 business day turnaround. 2 revisions per video.
Standard — $900 per month: 12 finished videos per month. 2–3 business day turnaround. Unlimited revisions, subject to the fair-use note below. Monthly strategy call. Direct line to your editor.
Custom — $750 per month: 10 finished videos per month. 3–5 business day turnaround. 5 revisions per video. Your branding applied.

All plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Unused videos do not roll over. Each plan is a set number of finished videos within a billing month. If you don't use them in that month, they expire at your next billing date and your allowance resets. Unused videos are not refundable and are not exchangeable for a discount.

Your plan is priced on the number of finished videos, not on how much raw footage you send. Ten minutes is a good target, but shorter or longer is fine — you receive your plan's video count either way.

Fair use on unlimited revisions. "Unlimited" means we keep working until you're happy with a video, not that a single video can be rebuilt from scratch indefinitely. In practice almost every video is signed off within three rounds. If revision requests move beyond refining an edit into commissioning a fundamentally different video, we'll tell you in writing and either quote it separately or agree a scope with you first. We will never bill you for anything you have not agreed to in advance.

Turnaround

Turnaround times are measured in business days and start when we have received your footage and everything else we need to begin — for example approved on-screen text, branding assets, or answers to questions about the content.

If we're waiting on you, the clock is paused. We'll say so clearly when that happens.

Free sample

We offer one free edited sample video to prospective clients.

One free sample per business, delivered within 48 hours of us receiving usable footage.
No credit card, no call, and no obligation to purchase anything afterwards.
You own the resulting video and may use it however you like, whether or not you become a client.
We may decline to produce a sample where footage is unusable, unlawful, or falls outside what we do. We'll tell you why.
This offer may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Any sample already promised will still be delivered.

Cancellation policy

All plans are month-to-month. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

To cancel, email angel@contentenginemedia.com at least 7 days before your next billing date. We'll confirm your cancellation in writing.

Cancelling stops future charges. Your current billing period continues to the end of its term, and we will finish and deliver any videos already owed to you for that period.

Refund and dispute policy

We want you to be happy with the work, and we'd rather fix a video than argue about a refund. Our position:

Before we start work. If you cancel a billing period before we have begun editing, you get a full refund of that period, no questions asked.
Work in progress. If we have started editing but you're unhappy with the result, we will re-edit it under your plan's revision allowance at no additional cost. If we still can't get it right, we'll refund the pro-rata value of the videos not accepted.
Delivered and accepted videos. Videos you have approved are not refundable, because the work is complete and delivered.
If we miss our own deadline. If we deliver late and you no longer want the videos as a result, you get a full refund for those videos.
Pilot and one-off projects. Fixed-price pilot projects are non-refundable once production has started, as stated in the individual project agreement. Before production starts, they are fully refundable.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Please email us before opening a card dispute. Nearly every problem is faster to solve directly, and we'd rather refund you promptly than have you wait on a bank investigation. Email angel@contentenginemedia.com and we'll respond within one business day.

Who owns the content

You own your footage. You own every finished video we deliver to you, in full, including for paid advertising.

We do not use your footage or your finished videos as portfolio samples, on our website, or anywhere else, unless you give us written permission. The samples on our site are concept edits built from licensed stock footage, not client work.

Your responsibilities

Because we edit footage you supply rather than create claims ourselves, you are responsible for:

Having the right to use the footage, music, images, and branding you send us.
You are responsible for obtaining all necessary consents and releases from any identifiable individuals in the footage you provide. That includes patients, clients, members and staff. We cannot verify consent on your behalf and do not attempt to.
The accuracy of any factual, medical, pricing, or promotional claims you ask us to put on screen.

We will flag anything that looks legally risky before it goes into a video — for example claims that may fall foul of advertising rules for regulated treatments — but the final call on your own claims is yours.

We may decline to produce content that is unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or that we believe would expose either of us to regulatory action.

Your footage and privacy

Footage you send us is treated as confidential. We use it only to produce your videos. We do not sell it, share it, or use it to train third-party AI models.

We never send footage containing identifiable patients or clients through free or consumer AI tools.

We keep your source footage for 90 days after delivery so we can handle revisions, then delete it. Ask us and we'll delete it sooner.

Service limits

We are a small operation and take on a limited number of clients so that quality holds. If we can't take your work on, we'll say so rather than accept it and under-deliver.

We may change these terms or our prices. Existing clients get at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change affects them, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States.
